First we must establish a baseline before we begin this discussion and that baseline is God’s Word. The Bible tells us that God never changes and always keeps His promises. That being said, we find the following promise in Genesis.
Genesis 12:7 NLT – Then the LORD appeared to Abram and said, “I will give this land to your descendants.” And Abram built an altar there and dedicated it to the LORD, who had appeared to him.
Genesis 13:14-15 NLT – After Lot had gone, the LORD said to Abram, “Look as far as you can see in every direction-north and south, east and west. [15] I am giving all this land, as far as you can see, to you and your descendants as a permanent possession.
Genesis 15:18-21 NLT – So the LORD made a covenant with Abram that day and said, “I have given this land to your descendants, all the way from the border of Egypt to the great Euphrates River- [19] the land now occupied by the Kenites, Kenizzites, Kadmonites, [20] Hittites, Perizzites, Rephaites, [21] Amorites, Canaanites, Girgashites, and Jebusites.”
What does covenant mean? – Merriam-Webster: Defines covenant as a formal, solemn, and binding agreement.
Covenants between God and man. These are the really important ones; the ones that shape the story of the Bible. A few things make these covenants especially special: God is His own witness. When a man swears an oath, he swears by something higher than himself. God doesn’t have that option.
Hebrews 6:13 NLT – For example, there was God’s promise to Abraham. Since there was no one greater to swear by, God took an oath in his own name.
Some of God’s covenants are completely unconditional: they’re not sustained by human performance. When God makes His covenant with Abraham in Genesis 15, He doesn’t require anything from Abraham.
God called Abram and his family pack-up and leave their home without knowing where they were going. But God had a plan and was going to fulfill it thru Abram, later known as Abraham which means the father of many nations. God promised Abraham that he would be the father of many nations.
Abraham had a son with an Egyptian servant because Abraham’s wife Sarai was barren. They named him Ishmael who was the father of the Arabs today. Ishmael was a wild man, as untamed as a wild donkey. He raised his fist against everyone, and everyone was against him.
God changed Sarai’s name to Sarah, and told her she would give birth to a son and name him Isaac. God told Abraham that Isaac would be the son through whom his descendants would be counted. This created friction between the brothers.
Fast forward to the current time. Hatred still exists between the two people groups: Israel [Jews] and the Arabs. This will never be reconciled until Jesus comes again.
Referring back to the baseline that we established, that is the everlasting covenant God made with Abraham and his descendants giving the land described in Genesis 15:18-21 to Abraham’s descendants, Israel/Jews. God will honor that covenant, regardless of opposition to Israel that we see around the world today.
Why did God evict the people groups living there? Sounds mean, however, these people were evil in God’s eyes and this was His judgment against them. God judges sin, past, present and future.
We have established that God has a plan for Israel and will be fulfilled completely when Jesus comes back.
Israel” and Palestine. One land, two names. Both Jews and Arabs have claimed it as theirs alone. From a purely historical perspective, Israel predates the Arabs in Palestine by more than a millennium. But, when the Jewish people were dispersed from their homeland, Palestine became home to a substantial Arab population, again for more than a millennium. The West Bank also has a large Arab population.
The United Nations declared Israel as a sovereign nation in 1948. This started God’s prophetic clock which is counting down to the Second Coming of Christ. This was unprecedented, never happened before for any nation that was dispersed and maintain their identity as a nation today.
“Every Jew is here today because of God’s keeping, preserving power upon His chosen people. Throughout history, Satan, Israel’s ancient foe, has tried to eradicate this nation and obliterate this promise, but he could not do it.
■ Egypt’s pharaoh could not diminish God’s chosen people.
■ The Red Sea could not drown them.
■ Jonah’s whale could not digest them.
■ Nebuchadnezzar’s fiery furnace could not burn them.
■ The gallows of horrible Haman could not execute them.
■ The dictators of this world have not been able to annihilate them.
■ The nations of this world have not been able to assimilate them.
When other peoples have been taken from their homelands, when they have been scattered, they’ve soon been absorbed, assimilated into the culture of their new location and cannot be traced. But for nineteen centuries the Jewish people, wherever they were found, kept themselves together, maintaining their traditions, laws, statutes and even language. God preserved them as a nation, an identifiable people.” Adrian Rogers
Want proof of the existence of God. Look at Israel and Jerusalem. Arabs want control of Jerusalem and all of Israel. Never going to happen.
From the river to the sea. A phrase that some of America’s politicians are chanting today. It means genocide. The majority of Arabs located in Palestine and in some surrounding Arab countries want the complete annihilation of the Jews.
Almost three in four Palestinians believe the Oct. 7 attack by Hamas on Israel was correct, and the ensuing Gaza war has lifted support for the Islamist group both there and in the West Bank, a survey from a respected Palestinian polling institute found.
Seventy-two percent of respondents said they believed the Hamas decision to launch the cross-border rampage in southern Israel was “correct” given its outcome so far, while 22% said it was “incorrect”. The remainder were undecided or gave no answer.
Hamas, which is sworn to Israel’s destruction, has ruled Gaza since splitting with the Palestinian Authority (PA) in 2007. The PA exercises limited governance in the West Bank.
Compared to pre-war polling, support for Hamas had risen in Gaza and more than tripled in the West Bank, which has seen the highest levels in violence in years, with repeated deadly clashes between Israeli troops and settlers and Palestinians.
Fifty-two percent of Gazans and 85% of West Bank respondents – or 72% of Palestinian respondents overall – voiced satisfaction with the role of Hamas in the war. Only 11% of Palestinian voiced satisfaction with PA President Mahmoud Abbas.
Mosab Hassan Yousef, son of Sheikh Hassan Yousef, a co-founder of Hamas, defected to Israel in 1997 and became a Christian.
Yousef said he saw the light after a stint in an Israeli jail during the mid-1990s. At Megiddo Prison, he witnessed Hamas inmates leading a brutal year-long campaign to weed out supposed Israeli collaborators. “During that time, Hamas tortured and killed hundreds of prisoners,” he said, recalling vivid memories of needles being inserted under fingernails and bodies charred with burning plastics. Many, if not all, had nothing to do with Israeli intelligence. “I will never forget their screams,” he continued. “I started asking myself a question. What if Hamas succeeded in destroying Israel and building a state. Will they destroy our people in this way?”
Yousef said that his doubts about Islam and Hamas began forming when he realized Hamas’ brutality, and that he hated how Hamas used the lives of suffering civilians and children to achieve its goals. Yousef was held by Israeli agents in 1996. While in prison he decided to accept a Shin Bet offer to become an informant. Wikipedia
Genocide is the deliberate killing of a large number of people from a particular nation or ethnic group with the aim of destroying that nation or group.
On October 7, 2023, Hamas invaded Israel and committed crimes against the Jews that were so horrible they will not be mentioned in this post. This included men and women of all ages, children and babies. The massacre against the Israeli people is well documented. That was genocide. From the river to the sea.
Around the world, including the United States, there are people protesting against Israel, claiming they are committing genocide against the people living in Palestine. This accusation is so far from the truth, it should not even be considered. The IDF has taken every precaution to protect the people in Palestine. The problem is, Hamas is using their people as shields. And it seems the majority of the people support Hamas.
Hamas needs to be totally destroyed, along with Hezbollah, Houthis and other terrorists groups trying to eradicate Israel. From the river to the sea.
Those protesting and aligning themselves with Hamas are saying they approve of the horrible crimes the Terrorists committed. They are ether ignorant of the truth or deny that it exists or want Israel gone from the face of the earth.
The truth is, Israel is God’s chosen and He still has a purpose for Israel. They will be supernaturally protected until Jesus Christ comes again.
The land of Israel, I believe, is the most important spot on earth. Israel is the only country whose future is minutely foretold in the Word of God.
Nations and their citizens should tread lightly. Becoming an enemy of Israel and threatening their existence, is becoming an enemy of God.
Genesis 12:2-3 NLT – I will make you into a great nation. I will bless you and make you famous, and you will be a blessing to others. [3] I will bless those who bless you and curse those who treat you with contempt. All the families on earth will be blessed through you.”
Pray for Israel and the people living in Palestine.
