Is It Well With Your Soul?

Do you have peace deep in your soul in times of trouble? Do you have comfort deep in your soul in times of sorrow? Do you have joy deep in your soul during times of pain or sickness? 

Jesus never said that the life of his followers would be easy. He never said that we would be free from pain, guilt, confusion, sorrow, grief, dismay, fear, doubt, sickness, temptation, weariness, etc. However, when you follow Him, He will give you love, peace, comfort, joy, guidance and more beyond our understanding. When you accept those things from Him, and remember and feel them, you will be able to say ‘It is well with my soul.” The reason why is because “In all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.” Romans 8:37 

His love for us alone should give us peace, comfort and joy. For what is greater? His love for us is pure, true, endless, sacrificial and never failing. Because of His great love for us, we can stand with confidence against the things of life that are difficult. Know that Jesus is with you every step of the way when trials enter your life. He said He would! In Hebrews 13:5b “..for he has said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.” Cling to that. Grab on to that truth and never let it go for our loving God never breaks His promises. Never.
