Inspiration

She said –

“Don’t call the doctor, I want to fall asleep peacefully, with your hand in mine.”  He told her about the past, how they met, their first kiss.  They didn’t cry, they smiled.  They didn’t regret anything, they were grateful.  Then she repeated softly, “I love you forever!”  He returned her words, gave her a soft kiss on the forehead.  She closed her eyes and fell asleep peacefully with her hand in his.  Love is really all that matters because everyone comes into this world with nothing other than love and leaves with nothing other than love.  Think about it.  Profession, career, bank account, our goods are just tools, nothing more.  Everything stays here.  So just love those that really love you.  Love, as if there was nothing more important in your life.

Science says that we need to least 4 basic elements to survive –

Water, Air, Food, and Light.  And look what the Bible tells us about Jesus: I am the Living Water; I am the Breath of Life; I am the Bread of life; I am the Light of the World.  Science was right, we need Jesus to live.

Those who died yesterday –

Had a plan for this morning.  And those who died this morning had plans for tonight.  Don’ take life for granted.  In the blink of an eye, everything can change.  So forgive often and love with a full heart.  You never know when you may not have that chance again.

Ponder how valuable –

Your soul must be for Satan to tirelessly pursue it, and the King to lay down His own life for it.

If I die tomorrow –

I’ll be with Jesus.  If I live tomorrow, Jesus will be with me.  I am the Lord’s either way.  And I am grateful for it.  Amen.

Someday we will be –

Held by the same hands that created us, and we will be home.

Five things Jesus did not say –

  1. Follow your heart – Jesus said, “follow Me.”
  2. Be true to yourself – Jesus said, “Whoever wants to be my disciple, must deny himself.”
  3. Believe in yourself – Jesus said, “Believe in Me.”
  4. Live your truth – Jesus said, “I am the truth.”
  5. As long as you are happy – Jesus said, “What will it profit a man if he gains the world and loses his soul.”

God is very intentional –

When it comes to friendships.  He will bring specific people into your life to encourage you, love you, lift you up, support & help you.  Often when you least expected it.

God is saying to you –

Let it slide, let it pass by, do not engage.  He is fighting the unseen battles you don’t know about, if you knew what He knew, you would leave it alone.  Let Him fight this battle for you.  Just be still.

God allowed Peter –

To fall into the water, but didn’t let him drown.  God allowed Daniel to be thrown into the lions den, but didn’t let him be eaten.  HAVE FAITH IN HIM!!!

Jesus is my –

Way, King, Lord, Truth, Savior, Healer, Father, Provider, Teacher, Deliverer, Shepherd and Everything.  Praise God!!!

My body sometimes feels sore –

But it works.  I don’t sleep well some nights, but I do wake up to face another day.  My wallet isn’t full, but my stomach is.  I don’t have all the things I want, but I have everything I need.  And I have God to thank for that.  Amen.

God gave some of us a Triple Bypass this morning!

We bypassed: the hospital, morgue, & cemetery!  GLORY!

Jesus died for you –

In public.  Don’t live for Him in private.

When I am alone –

God is my comforter.  When I am weak, God is my strength.  When I am nothing, God is my everything.  Has God been good to you?

The giant –

That’s in front of you is never bigger than the God who’s inside of you.

Jesus is –

My God – My King – My Lord – My Savior – My Healer – My Refuge – My Provider – My Strength – My Defender – My Protector – My Peace – My Joy – My Life – My All – My Everything.

Someday the King will return –

He won’t need to be elected, there will be no debates.  Every knee will bow, every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is King of Kings and Lord of Lords!  Jesus is coming back, Amen.

God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah –

For the very things we are celebrating and teaching in schools.

True bravery –

Is following Christ in a world that hates Him.

If the living knew –

What the dead knew, the whole world would follow Jesus the Christ.

Religion says follow God’s commands –

Do not sin and get it right for Him to love you.  Grace says seek God first and His heart then knowing Him will give you the desire to follow what He asks of you.  So much of this world has it backwards, grace came first because God loved us first.  It’s His love and who He is that makes us want to change.  And that is in a relationship with Him NOT religion.

5 ways to see God’s hand in your life –

One – Believe that every thing happens for a reason, and it’s all part of God’s plan, not just luck.

Two – When in doubt, ask God for direction.  He’s got your back.

Three – Recognize the good things in your life as gifts from God, not random luck.

Four – In tough times, rely on God’s strength.  He’s always there for you.

Five – Remember, God’s timing is perfect, even when it doesn’t match your schedule.

Mohammed is dead –

Buddha is dead.  Every Pope dies.  Joseph Smith is dead.  Gandhi is dead.  Every Dalai Lama dies.  JESUS IS ALIVE!

Faith doesn’t always –

Take you out of the problem, Faith takes you through the problem.  Faith doesn’t always take away the pain, Faith gives you the ability to handle the pain.  Faith doesn’t always take you out of her storm, Faith calms you in the midst of the storm.

I used to wonder –

How the devil could deceive entire nations like the Bible said he would.  I don’t wonder about that anymore.

The weather man –

Says a storm is coming.  Everybody panics and gets prepared.  The preacher says Jesus is coming and nobody moves.  Let that sink in for a minute.

Israel doesn’t occupy –

The land.  They OWN it.  Genesis 15:18-21.

You’re not reading this by accident –

This is your confirmation.  Everything is going to be alright.  Keep praying and trusting God.  He’s not done.

If I die tomorrow –

I’ll be with Jesus.  If I live tomorrow, Jesus will be with me.  I am the Lord’s either way.  And I am grateful for it.  Amen.

Internalize the Word of God –

Oh, that you and I might get into the very heart of the Word of God, and get that Word into ourselves! As I have seen the silkworm eat into the leaf, and consume it, so ought we to do with the Word of the Lord—not crawl over its surface, but eat right into it till we have taken it into our inmost parts. It is idle merely to let the eye glance over the words, or to recollect the poetical expressions, or the historic facts; but it is blessed to eat into the very soul of the Bible until, at last, you come to talk in Scriptural language, and your very style is fashioned upon Scripture models, and, what is better still, your spirit is flavored with the words of the Lord.

I would quote John Bunyan as an instance of what I mean. Read anything of his, and you will see that it is almost like the reading the Bible itself. He had read it till his very soul was saturated with Scripture; and, though his writings are charmingly full of poetry, yet he cannot give us his Pilgrim’s Progress—that sweetest of all prose poems — without continually making us feel and say, “Why, this man is a living Bible!” Prick him anywhere—his blood is Bibline, the very essence of the Bible flows from him. He cannot speak without quoting a text, for his very soul is full of the Word of God. I commend his example to you, beloved.  Charles Spurgeon.

Your Gender –

Was assigned by God.  He was not confused!

We Live in a Generation –

Of emotionally weak people.  Everything has to be watered down because it’s offensive, including the truth, God’s Word.

Five Lessons From Jesus –

[1] Selflessly loving your neighbors, [2] Loving your enemies, [3] Forgiving others, [4[ Serving others, [5] Having faith.  These are five teachings of Jesus that will improve your life.  These teachings help us have inner peace and improve our relationships with those around us.

Israel is Hated –

By the world because it is hated by Satan.  It is the land God chose to reveal Himself in.  It is the land of the Bible.  It is the land the Yeshua was born in.  It is the land Jesus died in.  It was the land Jesus rose in.  And it is where He will return.  For the enemy, Israel is a place of crushing, constant defeat.  For the children of God, Israel is a place of everlasting covenant, hope, and triumph.

To be an Atheist –

I would have to believe – nothing produced everything, non-life produced life, randomness produced precision, chaos produced order.  I simply do not have that much faith.

The Rainbow –

The rainbow is a sign of God’s promise, not a symbol of man’s perversion!

Confession –

Don’t confess your sins to a man in a box, he cannot forgive you, only God can forgive sins, not man.

McDonald’s can mess your order –

Up 101 times and you still keep going back.  One thing goes wrong at Church and you quit.  People just aren’t hungry enough!

The problem is Sin –

Not Skin.  The answer is Grace, not Race.  Jesus died for all.  Our nation needs Jesus!

If the living knew –

What the dead knew, the whole world would follow Jesus the Christ.

Jesus Paid

Jesus came to pay a debt He didn’t owe because we owed a debt we couldn’t pay.

A Little Boy

A little boy was trying to remove a rock.  He was grunting and straining trying to move the rock over.  His dad asked him if he was using all of his strength?  He said yes daddy, I am using all of my strength.  His daddy said no you are not.  You haven’t asked me to help you.  His dad was trying to tell the little boy that he was part of his strength.  I am your father, ask me.  So many times we have a problem we are trying to solve using all of our strength, so we think.  But there is a Heavenly Father who is ready to move in and help us with our problem.  Just ask.

What a Day

What a day that will be when my Jesus I shall see – And I look upon His face – The one who saved me by His grace – When He takes me by the hand and leads me through the Promised Land – What a day, glorious day that will be.

Faith

Faith is when you praise God in the storm, you trust Him in the valley, and you follow Him in the dark.  Are you trusting Him today.

The Ten Commandments

It was the act of only one man who drove his vehicle into a Ten Commandments monument in Arkansas, but it reflected the sentiments of a growing number of Americans: “We do not want the Ten Commandments in our midst, nor do we want the God of the Ten Commandments in our midst.” In that sense, the destructive act of this individual reflected the attitude of tens of millions of Americans. This is not simply a decreased interest in the Bible and the God of the Bible. This is outright rebellion. It sounds like this:

Enough with God’s laws and standards. Enough with His moral principles. Enough with His prohibitions of idolatry and adultery and murder.

We will do what we want to do, when we want to do it, and no law — or God — will tell us otherwise.

The America we want must have no connection to its Judeo-Christian roots. No connection to the moral values of many of its Founders. No connection to the Scriptures which so influenced their thinking.

We will worship created things more than the Creator. We will be full of covetousness and greed. We want our idolatry.

We will have sex with whomever we want to, whenever we want to, however we want to. And if we so desire, we will call these relationships “marriage,” and neither God nor man will tell us anything different. We want our adultery.

We will kill our babies in the womb if we so choose, and anyone who defies our wishes will be trampled with derision and scorn. We want our murder.

Yes, we will do what we want to do when we want to do it. We declare ourselves free.

Apart From God’s Laws, There is Bondage, Not Freedom

Ironically, the man in question, allegedly yelled “Freedom!” as he crashed into the Ten Commandments monument less than 24 hours after it was erected. He live streamed on Facebook as he drove onto the Arkansas statehouse lawn. (He was previously charged with a similar attack on a Ten Commandments monument in Oklahoma in 2014.)

The more we depart from God’s laws, the more we find ourselves in bondage.

Children in Church

“Bring them to church. Saturate their lives with the Word of God. Even if they lay on the floor. Even if they need 437 goldfish and a sucker to be quiet. Even if you stand in the back swaying back and forth holding them. Even when it’s hard. Even when when your row looks like a small hurricane just came through. Bring them to church. Let them see you worship. Let them see you pray. Let them see you running toward the Savior … because if they don’t see and learn these things from you, who are they going to learn them from?

The world will teach them it’s not a priority. The world will teach them it’s okay to lay out, not to pick up their Bibles. The world will direct them so far off course, confuse them, and misinform them that just being “good” is enough. The world won’t teach them about Jesus. That’s our job.  Bring them to church.

When You Die

Don’t worry about your body… your relatives will do whatever is necessary according to their possibilities.  They will take your clothes off, wash you, dress you, take you out of your house and take you to your new address.  Many will come to your funeral to “say goodbye.” Some will cancel commitments and even miss work to go to your funeral.  Your belongings, even what you didn’t like to lend, will be sold, given away or burned.  Your keys, your tools, your books, your shoes, your clothes… And rest assured that the world will not stop to cry for you. The economy will continue.  In your job, you will be replaced. Someone with the same or better capabilities will take your place.  Your assets will go to your heirs…. And do not doubt that you will continue to be cited, judged, questioned and criticized for the small and great things you did in life.  People who knew you only by your appearance will say; Poor man or woman!  She had a great time!  Your sincere friends will cry for a few hours or a few days, but then they will return to laughter.  The “friends” who pulled you to partying will forget about you faster.  Your animals will get used to the new owner.  Your photos will hang on the wall or remain on a piece of furniture for a while, but then perhaps they will be stored at the bottom of a drawer. And we will only live in the memory of those who loved us.

Someone else will sit on your couch and eat at your table.  The deep pain in your house will last a week, two, a month, two, a year, two… Then you will be added to the memories and then, your story is over.  It ended up among people, it ended up here, it ended up in this world.

But begin your story in your new reality… in your life after death.  Your life where you couldn’t move with the things from here because, when you left, they lost the value they had: Body, Beauty, Appearance, Last name, Comfort, Credit, State, Position, Bank account, Home, Car, Profession, Titles, Diplomas, Medals, Trophies, Friends, Places, Spouse, and Family.

In your new life you will only need your spirit/soul.  The value you have accumulated here will be the only fortune you will have there.  That fortune is the only one you will take with you and it is amassed during the time you are here. When you live a life of love for others and peace with your neighbors, you are amassing your spiritual fortune.

That’s why try to live fully and be happy while you’re here because, “From here you won’t take what you have. You’ll only take what you gave.”
